Minneapolis, MN – May 2025 — The 28th annual WineFest, a cherished tradition in the Twin Cities, once again brought together wine enthusiasts, philanthropists, and medical pioneers for a cause that touches countless lives: children’s health. Held in support of M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital, this year’s event celebrated not only fine wine and gourmet cuisine but also groundbreaking advancements in pediatric medicine.
A highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Rare Disease Pioneer Goldy Award, presented to Drs. Troy Lund and Paul Orchard of the Department of Pediatrics, Blood & Marrow Transplant team. Their pioneering research in rare childhood diseases continues to shape the future of pediatric care.
The awards were revealed during the Grand Tasting and Fine Wine Dinner, a signature moment of WineFest 2025. Guests raised their glasses in honor of the physicians’ dedication and the hospital’s mission to advance research, education, and compassionate care for children.
